It is with a heavy heart that I share the reason The Awakening was not released in 2025.
Last summer, my mom was diagnosed with cancer, and our entire focus shifted to getting her the treatment she needed so she could recover, and we could return to our plans for the book’s release.
Sadly, things did not go as we had hoped. After only a few weeks of chemotherapy and radiation, she was admitted to the ICU and passed away just six days later. Her loss was sudden, devastating, and life-changing for our family.
The past seven months have been a whirlwind of grief, healing, and learning how to navigate life without her. I am only now beginning to find my footing again and return to the plans we worked so hard to build for the release of my debut novel, The Awakening, the first book in the Twist of Faith Trilogy.
I want to thank all of you for your patience, encouragement, and support over the years. Many of you have followed this journey through multiple delays and near launches, and I am incredibly grateful that you have stayed with me.
This time, however, it is happening!
Barring some unforeseen act of fate, The Awakening will be released in November 2026.
In the coming months, I’ll be sharing sneak peeks here on the website and across my social media platforms. I’m also working with several podcasts to discuss the inspiration behind the novel, the deeply personal experiences that helped shape it, and the spiritual awakening my protagonist, Tarah, experiences in this story of healing, trust, resilience, and the power of second chances.
